About Us
The Astute Conveyancing story started when founder, Kim Were, set up the business in 1996 in her home office. With a growing demand in the property sector and flourishing clientele both returning and referred, 2002 saw the transition to expand to her current shop front premises with her growing team.
Kim has worked in the Dandenong area since 1987 and is a current member of the Australian Institute of Conveyancers’ (Victoria Division) Inc as a Certified Practising Conveyancer (CPC) and a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives (Vic). As a licensed conveyancer, Kim holds professional indemnity insurance against Civil Liability for your protection.

What Exactly is Conveyancing?
Conveyancing is the transfer of legal title of real property from one person or entity to another. There are normally two stages to this – the first being the exchange of contracts, the point at which the terms of the deal are fixed, and the second being the completion, where the legal title passes.
